Loyal dog walks miles on his own every day to visit best friend’s gravesite

Building a special connection with someone is one of the most beautiful things in the world, and that certainly doesn’t only apply to humans. Dogs and other animals can certainly become best friends with each other and are often inseparable!

This small puppy named Fulmine lived with Sara Sechi’s father, Leonardo, for seven long and joyful years. The two closest friends lived in the Italian countryside, enjoying simple pleasure in each other’s company.
Leonardo’s daughter Sara Sechi still recalls their heartwarming moments together. “They were really loving.” “They were usually snuggling,” says the narrator.
It’s not uncommon to see a four-footer and his or her owner do everything together.

Leonardo died away last month following a lengthy fight with sickness. When Leonardo passed, it left his family heartbroken, including Fulmine Leonardo’s family looked after Fulmine while he was in the hospital, and they witnessed how much the small dog missed him.
The dog continued to search for Leonardo even after he was laid to rest.

Then he eventually tracked him down.
Sechi and her son went to the cemetery the day after Leonardo’s ʙᴜʀɪᴀʟ to leave additional flowers on his ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ. When they arrived, they were shocked to see that someone else had also come to pay them a visit.

Incredibly, Fulmine had walked nearly 2 miles from the countryside, all on his own, arriving at the spot where Leonardo had been laid to rest. He seemed to understand that Leonardo, whom he’d not seen in weeks, was nowhere.

He appeared to realize that Leonardo, whom he hadn’t seen in weeks, had arrived.“I was surprised to see him there,” Sechi stated. “He didn’t show up for the funeral.” I’m not sure how he knew where he needed to go.” Fulmine, on the other hand, was finally reunited with Leonardo, if only in spirit.

Fulmine’s visit would not be the last. Neighbors reported seeing the tiny dog going to and from the graveyard to see the companion he’d l.o.st in the weeks that followed. Sechi remarked, “We assume he goes there every day.”
It’s still a mystery how Fulmine knew where to look for Leonardo.

“I’d like to believe he’s motivated by his affection for my father.” Or perhaps he was taken there by my father “Sechi said. “It’s one of those weird occurrences that defy explanation.”
Fulmine’s heart still hurts, but their love, though, endures.
