Remember the funny characters from the cartoon “The Lion King” – Timon and Pumbaa? The Disney couple turned out to be quite real, years later they found such different, but devoted friends in the Botswana reserve.
Timon and Pumbaa, after the success of The Lion King, got their own animated series, which was released from 1995 to 1998.
And although our modern heroes are not a hog and a me
erkat, but those who grew up with the funny heroes of the children’s show will definitely appreciate the warthog and mongoose, which are inseparable in the real world!

They live in the CARACAL Nature Reserve located in the Chobe National Park. Miss Piggy, an 8-year-old female warthog, and Mongo, a 6-year-old mongoose, have been friends for a couple of years. They play, eat and sleep together. At the same time, Mongo often rides on horseback on his girlfriend.
The unusual couple immediately won the love of visitors due to their resemblance to cartoon characters.
